Year two as Naming Rights Sponsor of the Custom Lithium Don River Dash. This time we weren't just on the banner - we were in the river, and we had Grant Denyer with us.
Grant took on his first ever off-road race in a Custom Lithium-backed vehicle, and came away calling the Don River Dash epic. He'd told organisers beforehand he was chasing a new challenge in motorsport, and the Dash is unlike anything else on the calendar. For a bloke who has raced at Bathurst, that says something about this event.
Having Grant put his name alongside ours and throw himself into the weekend the way he did is something the whole team will remember for years to come. Thank you Grant!
The Event
Now in its eighth year, the Burdekin Offroaders event sent competitors across 300 kilometres of deep sand, water crossings, dust and heavy traffic. Flooding earlier in the year had stripped huge amounts of sand and vegetation from the riverbed, leaving organisers to build two brand new 25-kilometre tracks from scratch.
Burdekin Offroaders President Michael Marson credited the volunteers, officials, recovery crews, track preparation teams, sponsors and wider community for making the weekend possible. Having seen it from the inside, we'd back every word.
The Results
Cars - outright winner: Brett Comiskey and navigator Corey Cooper, in a brand-new Class 8 Mason all-wheel-drive truck, completing the course in two hours and 38 minutes.
Bikes - outright winner: Newcastle rider Levi Stephens, in two hours and 50 minutes, going one better than his runner-up finish in 2025.
Remarkably, Comiskey had barely any seat time in the truck beforehand - his only previous drive was unloading it off the trailer.
Congratulations to Brett, Corey and Levi, and to every class winner across the field.
How We Went
We came out strong Day 2, with Andy driving and Kirsty back in the Navi seat. Without any car issues, running a strong time home to claim the finisher title.
Overall as a first outing, in a brand new car for a brand new team - we were happy to take away the epic experience that was the Don River Dash and head into the future optimistic of what we can bring to the sport.

Thank You
To the Burdekin Offroaders, the volunteers, the recovery crews and the people of Bowen. To Grant, for jumping in with both feet. And to everyone who found us in the pits to say g'day or share a cold drink at the finish line.
We don't build batteries to sit on a shelf, and we don't sponsor from the sidelines.
